THE EXPLANATION OF THE VARIABILITY IN CATCHES OF ADULTS SWD

Here is the explanation of the variability in catches of adults (SWD) in the various monitoring points; by recent observations shows a certain correlation between the catch and the presence of wind, in a province or county you can find different conditions of ventilation at pchi km away. The points where there is a state of quiet at certain times of day (from 05:00 to 10:00 AM and 17:00 to 22:00) will be more at risk than most ventilated areas (see sample image). The 'adult SWD is very influenced by the presence of wind in the flight and for this reason that in ventilated areas there are  few catches. To overcome this it is sufficient to create a minimum ventilation to disturb the flight, and consequently the damage on the fruits.
